Rochester Crew Wins 1st Annual Alumni Cup Challenge

University of Rochester Athletics launched a special challenge this year to all sports teams to obtain the highest percent participation of alumni donors.

In an impressive showing, UR Crew’s alumni, friends and donors came out in droves and Rochester’s newest Varsity sport decisively won the Challenge with a 36% donation rate, twice the rate of second place finisher (Women’s Field Hockey, 18%).

Your support and donations helped UR Crew win:

(i) the UR Alumni Cup trophy, which proudly sits on Head Coach Will Greene’s desk;

(ii) a permanent plaque for Will’s wall, and

(iii) a cash prize of additional funding for UR Crew., which will be used in conjunction with the gifts for the purchase of additional pairs for skill development!

This is an annual competition, so your continued support is necessary to keep Rochester Crew on top. (Details will follow in the Winter Newsletter for making an automatic donation.)
